Jose Antonio Garcia was born in Barcelona and spent many years working in the city’s restaurant scene. Several years ago, Jose decided to recuperate his parents’ vineyards in Bierzo; his first commercial vintage was 2011, and he now works 22 hectares of vines. ‘Aires de Vendimia’ is 100% Mencia, 55% destemmed and foot-crushed, fermented with native yeasts, and aged on the fine lees in used French oak. Notes of black fruits, strawberries, pepper, and fresh herbs dominate the palate.
