2016 Pavillon de Taillefer Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 750ml

Availability: In stock (8)

This wine represents, with more than 90%, the vast majority of production. This wine is 100% Merlot, from the terroirs of the municipalities of Vignonet, Saint-Sulpice de Faleyrens and Saint-Emilion. They are clay-siliceous soils with blue clays, iron filth and gravel.

This is the property's Classic cuvée, the definition of what, according to Catherine and Philippe Cohen, is the expression of a Merlot from the terroirs of the right bank of Bordeaux. It is a wine to keep, which can however be tasted from an early age on the fruit, or stored, so that it develops more evolved notes of violets, truffles, wood or animal notes.

It is a great classic of the Saint-Emilion appellation by definition.
