Native to Burgundy like the whole Pinot family, and distinguished from Chardonnay only at the end of the 19th century.
We are actually talking about a blend between Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois, which helps balance the acidity of the first with the fruit of the second.
The 2018 conditions allowed the Auxerrois to mature quickly, with grapes with intense and concentrated fruitiness. The acidity helps to balance a cuvée that turns out to be richer and rounder and makes it possible to widen the tasting opportunities.
