This is the elixir of Alsace, straight to your glass! Riesling is grown throughout the region on very different soils, producing very different wines from place to place. Rieslings can be very complex, and is no exception. Fermented in a 2000 gallon oak foudre, this wine starts off shy but develops ripe pear and quince aromas. This wine is perfect for snowy winter holidays and the big meals that go along with them. Try it with pork, sauerkraut or blue cheese. 12.5% abv.
Appearance: Pale golden
Nose: Subtle grapefruit, pear and lime.
Mouth: Full mouth. A barely detectable touch of sweetness lightens the wine. Flavors of pear and ripe orange come through.
