"Benoît Ente, brother of Arnaud, told me that he has added a few more vines and now farms 5.86 ha, up from 5.65. As to the 2018 vintage, he described it as "a very good if not genuinely great vintage. The season was hot and dry, and it was absolutely necessary to closely monitor fruit maturities because they were increasing rapidly towards the end... We were able to pick very quickly as the fruit was spotless. In much the same fashion as the 2017 whites, if I had to choose just one characteristic of the 2018 whites that in my view really defines the vintage it would be how refreshing they are." I have said this before but it's worth repeating that Ente has really been on a roll for the last few vintages and in 2018, every wine in the range is recommended.
"This aromatically similar to the regular cuvée with just a bit more citrus influence. There is slightly better volume to the succulent but punchy medium-bodied flavors that possess lovely depth on the citrusy, clean and notably dry finale. This too is excellent for its level."
