Mainly declassified premier cru fruit gives this lovely, wellp-delineated Pinot Noir loads of charm right off the bat. While many reds from Burgundy can take years to develop, this is super expressive right out of the gates; loads of wild strawberry and raspberry notes, laced with fennel and damp leaves. Impeccably balanced and sure to please.
88 Points - "The 2018 Côte de Beaune Rouge comes from 13 different parcels from around the appellation and receives a minute amount of whole cluster. It offers punchy blackberry, raspberry and black olive scents on a nose that races from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, slightly rustic tannins, good depth and fine balance. There is a simplicity to this wine, but that is actually its strength. Hints of white pepper appear on the finish. Recommended." - Neal Martin (Vinous Media, Jan 2020)
