Ancestors of the Laroche family have owned vines in this region since the late 1600s. Today, with Michel Laroche as patriarch, they are among the most respected winemaking dynasties in all of France. Michel has been making wine and running a thriving business ever since his very first harvest back in 1963. He has been at the forefront of innovation in Chablis, and after 45 years in charge of Domaine Laroche, Chablis’ most iconic figure, Michel Laroche, established another new, smaller, quality-oriented winery that he named after his father, “Le Domaine d’Henri” which has been producing magnificent wines since 2012. This is clean and bright with fresh lemon, lime, mango and green apple, and a chalky mineral finish.
