100% Cabernet Franc, this is part of Ampeleia's 'Monovarietali' project, highlighting single varieties and single vineyards whose special characteristics precluded them from blending in other wines. The grapes are sourced from a single parcel called "Vigna all'Asina," This vineyard sits at 500 meters above sea level. Fruit was harvested in the beginning of October at yields of 30 hl/ha. Vinification is part carbonic (20% whole cluster) and the rest destemmed. Macerations lasted around 2 weeks. Aged 9 months in cement tanks. 5,500 bottles made.
