Den Sake Brewery is the first sake brewery in Oakland, California, founded in 2017 and making handcrafted, small-batch sake from Cal-Hikari rice grown in the Sacramento Valley.
Their original flagship ‘Den’ is made with higher acidity to pair beautifully with California cuisine. Each batch is slightly different. However, the core characteristics are always similar since we use the same ingredients (yeast, koji, rice and water) with every batch.
Inviting aroma of orange blossom, nectarine, celery and spearmint, with a hint of underlying caramel. On the palate it shows pleasant bitterness of dark green that brightens, with acidity-led and mouth-watering tail on the finish.
