Bill Easton is one of the pioneers of Amador's modern winemaking era, founding his winery in 1984, and his wines still lead the pack in terms of quality. Easton's high elevation sites reach up to 3,200 feet and contribute to the complexity of the wines.
His Sauvignon Blanc has neither the excessive herbaceousness of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc nor the creamy richness of some California Sauvignon Blancs that lean towards a Chardonnay profile. Wine Enthusiast had this to say about this vintage: "This full-bodied wine is packed with ripe pear and peach flavors, feels very broad and weighty in texture and has a warm finish." (1/1/2020)
