Hillhamn Salome founded Flor Du Luna in Mexico City In 2015 as the country’s first female-powered distillery -her production team consists of five women including herself. Fittingly, Xila means woman in the Mexican indigenous language of Zapotec, while Flor de Luna references the fragrant and mysterious moon flowers endemic to Chiapas and the Yucatán peninsula.
Condesa Clasica is a micro-batch gin made from a distillate of corn, rye, wheat, and barley sourced in Mexico. Inspired by their use in spiritual rituals and ceremonies, Condesa Gin's botanicals include palo santo, white sage, xoconostle and azahar as well as jasmine, coriander, elderflower, lavender, rosemary, cedron, myrrh, lime and orange zests. Each ingredient is hand selected by the maestra destiladora and celebrates Mexico’s rich biodiversity.
