Lepreux-Penet is a family estate started in 18th century by Basie Penet as a grower, supplying grapes to others. In 1929 the family started to bottle Champagne under their own label. Today, Jean-Paul Lepreux is in charge of farming the vineyards and making the wine. The estate has only 8 hectares of vines so production is small and everything is still done manually in the old family tradition. Made from 100% Pinot Noir, the Bulles Noires cuvée pays homage to the tradition of the northern slope of the Grande Montagne de Reims. Its slightly salty nose reveals generous aromas of red fruits and subtle spice flavors.
