Still family-owned and founded in 1796 and located in the mountainous Aragua Valley of Venezuela, Santa Teresa 1796 was created in 1996 to commemorate their bicentennial. It is a bold and elegant rum with blends up to 35 years aged in bourbon oak barrels, then further aged through the artisanal Solera method resulting in a dry, smooth and balanced rum. Fruity aromas with flavors of nuts, leather, vanilla, dark chocolate, cinnamon and hints of honey and pepper.
