A new project from Delphine Laborde, who took over her family’s holdings in Nogent L’Abesse just east of Reims. Her 12 years in the cellars of Bollinger and Veuve Clicquot gave her the tools and experience to create this lovely blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay mostly (55%) from the 2020 vintage with 45% reserve wine. In the glass one encounters hints of red apples and Queen Anne cherries that carry over to the palate where they are joined with inflections of pear and citrus from the Chardonnay. A keenly balanced, seamlessly crafted, "Goldilocks" Champagne that is both food friendly and party-perfect. Bottled in February 2021 and disgorged in October 2022 with a dosage of 7 g/l. Only 250 cases produced.
