2021 Dom. Albert de Conti Petillant Naturel 750 ml

Availability: In stock (3)

The de Conti family has run the farm here since the early 1900s, but only in 1986 did Luc de Conti and his brother, Jean, decide to plant the vineyard and embark on a new adventure of viticulture and winemaking. In 1994, they became the first in the region to move away from pesticides and chemicals and turn to 100 percent organic farming.

This fun, approachable Pet-Nat is a blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Chenin blanc from Bergerac in the South-west of France. Grapes are gently pressed and ferment in stainless steel vats with indigenous yeast. Following the Ancestral Method, the wine is bottled when fermentation is about 2/3 complete, with minimal filtration and no added sufites. Light body and relatively low in alcohol, it offers wonderful aromas and flavors of green apple and pear with a touch of honey balanced by brisk acidity.
