Founded in the 1900s by the Orendain family and run by Eduardo and Jaime Orendain (fifth generation tequila producers) since 1986, the name of the brand Arette comes from Arete which was the name of the horse that under Humberto Mariles won one bronze and two gold Olympic medals in Jumping (Mexico's first Olympic gold). Arette is one of the few brands still made in the town of Tequila itself, just outside of the regional capital of Guadalajara.
Luminous, with a beautiful transparent body, an intense aroma and smoothness. Flavors include lime zest, banana peel, white pepper, dried oregano, avocado leaf and minerals. This is top shelf stuff at bargain pricing.
