Founded in the 1900s by the Orendain family and run by Eduardo and Jaime Orendain (fifth generation tequila producers) since 1986, the name of the brand Arette comes from Arete which was the name of the horse that under Humberto Mariles won one bronze and two gold Olympic medals in Jumping (Mexico's first Olympic gold). Arette is one of the few brands still made in the town of Tequila itself, just outside of the regional capital of Guadalajara.
Intense floral and earthy aromas. A soft mellow entry leads to a very sweet taste, with low bitterness and heavy agave and floral flavors, the tequila also has moderate fruity flavors that are followed by mild accents of earth, vanilla, and spice.
